Paul J. Thomas is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University. Paul is responsible for teaching courses in systems development and project management. Prior to joining Purdue University as a member of faculty, Paul was an Assistant Professor at Kansas State University’s Department of Integrated Studies where he taught courses in programming and software engineering. He has over three years of experience working in industry, primarily as an analyst, with stints at Accenture and HUB International. Paul was a graduate student at Purdue University between 2015 and 2021, during which he earned his Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Technology as well as his PhD in Technology. His research interests are centered around gamification, IT & project management education, and technology-supported active learning.
