David L. Stanley is Location Director of Purdue Polytechnic Indianapolis and a Professor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology in the Aviation and Transportation Technology School at Purdue University, West Lafayette. His teaching focus has been largely on Powerplant technology, aviation fuels, and Statics for Aero Structures. He is the Principal Investigator of the federally-funded project entitled the National Test Facility for Fuels and Propulsion (NaTeF) and is Director of the Air Transport Institute for Environmental Sustainability (AirTIES). In collaboration with several other AT faculty members and colleagues around the University, Prof. Stanley has conducted research into the use and development of new, alternative aviation fuels for both piston engine and turbine (Jet) engine applications.
