MET Laboratory

This lab provides Mechanical Engineering Technology students with a flexible workspace designed to support a wide range of hands-on projects, from senior design projects and materials testing to internal combustion engine analysis. Equipped with workbenches, testing equipment, and stations for engine study and disassembly, this lab offers students the ideal environment to explore, build, and test engineering concepts. In this lab, students bring their designs to life. Whether they’re working independently or collaborating in teams, students engage in practical problem-solving and critical thinking, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application.
This laboratory serves:

  • MET 34800 - Engineering Materials
  • MET 41400 - Projects in Mechanical Design
  • MET 42600 - Internal Combustion Engines
  • MET 47200 - Vehicle Dynamics

Lab Equipment:

  • MTS Criterion model 43 electromechanical universal test system
