Program Description

The International Construction Management Study Abroad in Ireland course offers students an in-depth comparative analysis of global construction practices, heritage preservation, and site safety management systems. The program contrasts standard U.S. construction methodologies (OSHA compliance, site
management practices, steel/wood framing) with European Union and Irish industry standards (Building Control Amendment Regulations - BCAR) regulations, Irish Health and Safety Authority (HSA) safety standards, masonry restoration, and dense urban brownfield logistics).

  • Wednesday, May 19th- Henrietta Street Renovation, Technological University Dublin (TUD), Lecture on Irish Construction Industry, Construction Site Visit (TBD), GPO Heritage Museum
  • Thursday, May 20th- Tour Dublinia Museum and Christchurch Cathedral, Gothic Cathedral Construction lecture, Train to Cork, Group Dinner

  • Saturday, May 22nd- Bus Tour to Ring of Kerry
