Purdue Polytechnic in New Albany to hold Boilermaker Showcase on May 8

Purdue Polytechnic in New Albany is proud to present an exhibition of student projects at the BoilerMaker Showcase on Friday, May 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at our campus on Charlestown Rd just South of I-265.

The BoilerMaker Showcase is an annual display of student projects including capstone projects sponsored by local companies. Meet the students and hear them describe the results of their work. Learn about project-based instruction and how Polytechnic New Albany is teaching students to solve real-world problems.

This year's senior capstone projects include:

Automated Dryer Drum Felt Application: a robotic assembly for a major appliance manufacturer

Mind Over Splatter Re-design: use your mind waves to explode a watermelon

Automated Valve Stem Measurement Tool: a tool that measures and trims valve stems for engines

Up/Down Robot Removal System: a device to aid maintenance of an injection molding robot
