I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering Technology at the School of Engineering Technology at Purdue University where I lead the Smart Logistics (SmartLogs) research lab. I am a member of the Center for Innovation in Control, Optimization and Network (ICON) and the Realizing the Digital Enterprise (RDE) initiative. I am also affiliated with the Integrative Data Science Initiative (IDSI) and Semiconductors @ Purdue.
My research focuses on system-scale transportation modeling and analysis. This work uses a range of techniques from Econometrics, Optimization, and AI/Machine Learning to model and provide quantitative analysis in order to guide industry planning and government decision-making. I have a great passion for identifying opportunities to boost businesses.
I have experiences in research, teaching, consulting, engineering, and project management in areas that intersect my multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary backgrounds in transportation engineering and operations research. I have been working on several topics including freight transport and logistics, the adoption and impacts of connected and autonomous vehicles, travel behavior, demand modeling, survey design and implementations, transportation management, and safety.
Current projects center around
1. Technology-driven transportation services
- Sidewalk delivery robots
- Indoor service robots
2. Semiconductors
- Semiconductor supply chains and its digital twins
- Apply lean six sigma (process improvement) methods in semiconductor manufacturing, design, etc
3. Digital twins
- Logistics and supply chain systems
