Plan of Study

The Managing Information Technology Projects Graduate Certificate courses are offered on a rolling format, 100% online, that lets you choose times for class work and study that fit your lifestyle. Courses are offered in an eight-week format for greater flexibility, so you can complete the required 12 credit hours in 12 months to 3 years.

Four courses are required for the certificate program (12 credit hours), all of which may be credited to the online MS in Computer and Information Technology degree in the event that the student opts to continue in the online MS program.

Gain a knowledge of project governance. Understand the project management office (PMO) and strategies for implementation.Understand project management information systems (PMIS).

  • CNIT 58500 PCM - Organizational Change Management for IT Projects: This course provides an overview of aviation financial management and is intended for current and future aviation and aerospace leaders and managers. Taking a global view, the course opens with two sessions on the tremendous economic impact of the aviation sector. Supplementing the on-line content, the course will use relevant readings and case studies as well as statistical data in time series to demonstrate the way financial management has evolved to improve performance in both the airport and airline industries.
  • CNIT 58600 RMP - IT Requirements Management: Explore the requirements management lifecycle. Develop abilities to elicit and document user requirements in a manner to assure project success. Understand the processes of requirements validation, verification and traceability. Develop a knowledge of requirements management tools for effective use.
