Guitar Lab
The Guitar Lab supports a unique class, MET 349 Stringed Instrument Design and Manufacture, where student learn product design and production by making their own electric guitars. It also hosts the lab portion of MET 379 Intro to Aerospace Technology. In this class, students design, build and fly their own radio controlled airplanes.
The lab is open for students who want to learn by making. Students working on their own have made things ranging from furniture to violins.
The lab houses four CNC routers, a CNC laser and a range of woodworking tools. It also has a dedicated spray booth. All these are available to students, both in the scheduled class and during open hours.
