PlaneEnglish, a simulator created by three Purdue alumni, has received a $1 million SBIR Phase II award, sponsored by the Air Force and AFWERX, the Air Force’s technology and innovation hub.
Three Purdue alumni, including a graduate of Purdue Polytechnic’s School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, will be using PlaneEnglish, an app they created, to help more members of the U.S. Air Force advance critical communication skills to keep them safe in the cockpit.

An electronic glove, or e-glove, developed by Purdue University researchers can be worn over a prosthetic hand to provide humanlike softness, warmth, appearance and sensory perception.
