Spring 2025 Digital Enterprise Center Symposium

Connecting the Digital Thread between Design, Production, and Inspection

Symposium will be held May 7, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EDT
Address: Indiana Manufacturing Institute, 1105 Endeavour Avenue, Suite 100, West Lafayette, IN 47906

RSVP by April 30, 2025 here.

Connecting the digital thread across a manufacturing enterprise is critical when trying to leverage the benefits of Industry 4.0 and digital twin methodologies. Without a digital product and process data thread, organizations are left to rely on human intervention and translation of disparate data forms to support communication. An important building block for this capability is the model-based product definition, and its ability to support the lifecycle stages of design to production to inspection. Elements of standards, communications processes, human/machine interaction, connectivity, and data exchange all must come together to enable this portion of the digital thread, and it is the intersection of these elements which we will explore in this symposium.
