Scholarships

If you are a high school senior and interested in applying for an AFROTC scholarship… visit www.afrotc.com.  (Check out the “Scholarship” tab, as well as, the HSSP Applicant Guide.)  You are not required to compete for a scholarship, but the window is typically open in June (through the end of the year), if interested. While the scholarship, if earned, may be applied to any school… we strongly suggest listing a major that you would be happy to pursue as any degree changes must be routed through an approval process once funds are awarded.  You are also welcome to request an interview at Purdue.

If you are NOT initially awarded a scholarship, there is a chance you may be offered an in-college scholarship after your first year based on your performance and funds available.  (So, we recommend “putting your best foot forward” on Day 1!)  Otherwise, the next opportunity for financial assistance will be during the last two years of the program.  As long as you successfully complete Field Training, you will earn $18K/year (plus a small stipend and textbook allowance) when you return.
