Colonel Jason WildColonel Jason Wild

Colonel Jason Wild is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Professor of Aerospace Studies at Purdue University.  The Detachment trains and develops leaders of character to commission as Air and Space Force officers who are ready to meet our Nation’s security challenges.  Prior to his current assignment, he was the Deputy Commander, 99th Air Base Wing, Nellis AFB, NV.  In this role, he supported the installation command authority for Nellis AFB and the 2.9 million-acre Nevada Test and Training Range, where he was responsible for all installation support for more than 12,000 assigned service members and 313,000 family members, retirees, and veterans.  Colonel Wild earned his commission through Air Force ROTC at Pennsylvania State University in 2000.  He is a career weather officer with numerous operational, command, and staff tours.  From 2015 to 2017, Colonel Wild served as the commander of the 607th Weather Squadron and United States Forces Korea Joint METOC Officer in Seoul, Korea, and in 2020 served as the 724th Expeditionary Airbase Squadron Commander and Installation Commander for Airbase 201, Agadez, Niger.  Colonel Wild has multiple combat deployments in support of air and ground operations for Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM/NEW DAWN.

Paul McArthurMajor Paul McArthur

Major Paul McArthur is the Operations Officer, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Purdue University, and serves as the AS200 instructor.  He is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and counseling highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers.  After enlisting as an Intelligence Analyst in 2005, Maj McArthur commissioned through the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  He also holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Missouri.  A Cyberspace Operations Officer since 2021, his diverse career in both the Air Force and Space Force includes Space Intelligence, Targeting, Base Communications, Cyberspace Operations and Aircrew.  Prior to coming to Purdue, he was stationed at the Pentagon, where he facilitated the stand-up of the Space Force Service Watch Cell and served as the Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Branch Chief under the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Cyber and Data.  

 

 

GoodnerMajor Allison Goodner

Major Allison Goodner is the Operations Flight Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Purdue University.  She is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and counseling highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers.  Maj Goodner received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Purdue University, where she also commissioned as a Distinguished Graduate of ROTC in 2016.  Her first operational flying assignment was at Moody AFB, GA, as an HC-130J Combat Search and Rescue Pilot.  There she was deployed with Task Force 45 as an Astronaut Rescue Pilot in support of NASA and Space-X manned-crew space flight.  As an Aircraft Commander, she led a crew of five in combat personnel recovery exercises, as well as civil Search and Rescue over land and sea.  She has over 1,000 flight hours, 23 combat sorties, and is the recipient of the Combat Air Medal and Commendation Medal for Heroism.  After her first flying assignment, she was selected to cross-train to the B-2 Spirit as a Stealth Bomber Pilot.  Prior to her position at Purdue, Maj Goodner worked in B-2 Combat Plans where she was responsible for the mission planning, coordination, and execution of Higher Headquarters-tasked missions for both training and real-world combat.   

                                                

Major Stephen Sells                           

Major Stephen Sells is the Recruiting Officer, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Purdue University, and serves as the AS300 instructor. He is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and counseling highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers. Maj Sells received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Purdue University and commissioned as a Distinguished Graduate through AFROTC in 2014. His first operational flying assignment was at McGuire AFB, NJ, where he flew KC-10 Extender, flying worldwide aerial refueling, cargo, and humanitarian missions, amassing 1500 flight hours, including 670 combat hours, and garnering three Air Medals over the course of four deployments. He subsequently graduated Pilot Instructor Training as a Distinguished Graduate and flew 1000 hours in the T-1A Jayhawk at Columbus AFB, MS as a pilot training instructor. In addition to graduating hundreds of student pilots into the operational Air Force as mobility, C2, ISR, and Special Operations pilots, Maj Sells served as the Wing Inspector General Director of Exercises, planning and leading installation-wide emergency preparedness exercises involving base, local, state, and federal agencies. 

 

Chad WannerCaptain Chad Wanner 

Captain Chad Wanner is the Education Officer, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Purdue University, and serves as the AS100 instructor.  He is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and counseling highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers.  Capt Wanner graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Security Management from DeVry University in 2015 while serving in the USAF enlisted ranks.  He was later competitively selected to attend Officer Training School (OTS) in 2017.  He also holds a master’s degree in Cyber Security Management.  As an Acquisition Program Manager (63A), he led munitions procurement and logistical support for the AGM-114 Hellfire missile, Paveway bomb, and medium-caliber rounds out of Hill AFB, UT.  After a deployment to the Middle East and a 10-month career-broadening opportunity with Boeing, he joined the Air Force Institute of Technology's Civilian Institution Programs office as the Education with Industry program manager, where he communicated with 100 industry partners and managed 240 students.  Prior to his current position, he served as a business operations manager for Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL.)

 

Brian BondMaster Sergeant Brian Bond  

Master Sergeant Brian Bond is the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC), Personnel, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Purdue University, and serves as the AS300 Instructor.  He is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating, and counseling highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers.  MSgt Bond is from Bunker Hill, IN, and enlisted in the Air Force in October 2006. As a career Defender, his assignments include Misawa AFB, Japan, Moody AFB, GA, and Minot AFB, ND, with three deployments.  He worked as a Quick Reaction Force Member conducting detainee operations in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.  Following that deployment, he serves as a Squad Leader during a short-notice Global Response Force tasking to Incirlik AB in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE and the Turkish coup of 2016.  His last deployment was to West Africa as a Squad Leader in support of the largest Military Troop Labor Project in Air Force history.  Prior to his assignment at Purdue, he served as NCOIC, Operations, 91st Missile Security Operations Squadron, Minot AFB, ND.

 

 

Technical Sergeant Ramus Gillespie

Technical Sergeant Ramus Gillespie is the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC), Administration, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 220, Purdue University.  He is responsible for recruiting, training, motivating and counseling highly qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers.  He is also responsible for commissioning tasks, physical fitness exams, categorization and Field Training selection for all cadets throughout the year.  TSgt Gillespie is from Chicago, IL and enlisted in the Air Force in May 2015.  During his last assignment, he served as NCOIC, Administration, Manpower and Personnel, Headquarters Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Quantico Marine Ground Installation, VA.  He was also stationed at Hanscom AFB, MA where he worked in several different units, including the PEO C3I&N Directorate.
