We are operating a test bench to test seals for Black Hawk Seals and deliver test information about seal performance and how it performs under load. More specifically our part of the project will focus on adding digital integration to the testing by adding the ability to read and write tests through SQL, control it through the internet, and enable extensibility with a modern PLC system. We hope our project can showcase how industry can use new and evolving technologies to improve their testing processes.
This project aims to solve the problems found in the previous group from last year: maintaining a desired temperature with the heating system, improving safety measures at the bench, looking to improve design issues in the hydraulic system, update and improve the control system.
