Team 27 - Instrumented Plant Growth Chamber

Climate conditions in the future are expected to have higher temperatures, CO2 levels, and humidity and that will affect how plants grow. This project entails constructing a plant growth chamber that our client will use to simulate these conditions and compare the results against a control group of plants to see how climate change will affect plant growth. With the completion of this project, the client will be able to independently control temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels with high precision to study the various effects future climate change conditions will have on the world’s crop life.

Problem Statement/Summary

For our project we need to create a growth chamber that can be stored in greenhouses and regulate growing conditions for plants. The goals of the growth chamber are to regulate humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide levels. Our client, Professor Raghot
