Our team continued the fabrication of a life-size electro-pneumatic shark that utilizes pneumatic actuators to generate thrust controlled by a Proportion-Air MPV Pressure Regulator Manifold. The deliverables of our team include adding a shark head with a pneumatic-powered jaw, a ballast system, and layers of waterproof "skin" completed primarily with neoprene and polyethylene. Our final video demonstrates the shark swimming in the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center Recreational Pool.
The goal of the continued fabrication of the life-size electro-pneumatic shark include:
- Fabricating a shark head with jaw actuation
- Waterproofing the shark with realistic, fabricated "shark skin"
- Incorporating a ballast system for stable buoyancy and depth control
- Update existing code for improved control
